National Riders Song
Today was another team spirt day… we also went out for another ride with our actual team to get to know how we ride together. Looks like a great group of people!!! We should have lots of fun. Tomorrow is the big day. We start early tomorrow morning. Beth and Mark from Montreal intoduced us to a song which has the following lyrics: (I will have to get the name of the tune that it needs to be sung to…). Awesome!!!
We are the National Riders
We come from far and wide
To put an end to cancer
Is the reason for our ride
We’ll cycle coast to coast
Raising dollars everywhere
For the kids who suffer daily
To show them that we care
We’ve learned about nutrition
Lactic acid and heart rate
The training’s hot and heavy
No not like on a date
Our bodies became leaner
Our strenght just grew and grew
Every hour was well worth it
Helping kids is what we do
We’ll pedal across our country
Meeting people everywhere
We’ll ride along together
And our mission with them share
So they will get to see
That cancer can be beat
So that more kids will survive
Standing strongly on their feet
We’ll cycle this great country
From Vancouver to Halifax
Our legs they will be groaning
As will our butts and backs
But none of that will matter
You can certainly rest assured
We do it all for kids
So that their cancer can be cured.
